Hey ya’ll, I’m back at it again with another DIY. I found this marble tissue paper while shopping for bedding at Target and just knew that could make something fabulous out of it, I think I succeeded. If you’ve been following me on my rental redo journey, you know I love injecting color into my space. I was searching for a way to bring multiple colors into my bedroom in a more sophisticated way. The problem is I’m not a sophisticated girl. I’m beer over wine and sneakers over heels, which I’m fine with, I love the person I am that being said, I want my surrounding to be more polished and mature. These DIYS are the perfect mix.
Materials
Tissue Paper
Frames
Pencil
Marker
Tape
Scissors
Directions
- Take apart your frame
- Wrap the tissue paper around the cardboard insert like a present
- Put your frame back together
- Super simple, Super Cute
I love the way this first piece turned out, but I wasn’t done yet. I’m a big reader, duh, the blog is called a novel home after all. So words are everything to me, words are my escape, my life, hopefully, my future livelihood so of course, I had to add some words to my third piece.
Directions
- Frame (I used a decorative clipboard I picked up from Ikea
- measure and cut your tissue paper
- Find the Quote or Words you want to you ( I used a sappy quote from a cartoon, my man and I watch, #bringbackthelastairbender)
- Find the Perfect Font
- Type of your quote or word in your chosen Font
- Place your tissue paper the paper with your quote on it and trace of the outline in pencil
- Go over and darken your outline with marker, pen, or paint
- Viola, so perfect, so very me
